A lawsuit has been filed against River City Firearms, a Louisville gun shop, by survivors of the Old National Bank shooting in April. The lawsuit alleges that the gun store overlooked several “red flags” when selling an AR-15-style rifle to Connor Sturgeon, who later used the weapon to kill five people in the mass shooting. The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory and punitive damages. The lawsuit is being brought by Louisville attorney Tad Thomas, along with Antonio Romanucci of Romanucci & Blandin in Chicago and Alla Lefkowitz of Everytown Law. The lawyers are also considering filing a lawsuit against gun manufacturer Radical Firearms.
