Fintech company Flourish has launched a platform called Flourish Annuities, aimed at helping registered investment advisors (RIAs) provide fee-based annuities to their clients. Annuity sales reached a record high of $350 billion in 2023, according to estimates from Limra. However, RIAs face challenges when it comes to offering annuities due to issues such as compensation and lengthy application processes. Flourish Annuities aims to address these issues by providing a digital application process, a marketplace of fee-based annuities from multiple carriers, and an insurance desk that eliminates the need for advisors to have insurance licenses. The platform aims to make the annuity process easier and more accessible for advisors and clients alike.
